Dr. Mary Kelly Green, MD is a board-certified, second-generation ophthalmologist with broad experience in cataract surgery, laser eye procedures, and eyelid surgery. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed internship training in Austin, followed by ophthalmology residency in San Antonio, where she was named Resident of the Year. Before medical school, Dr. Green served two years in the United States Peace Corps in West Africa teaching physics and chemistry in French, and later worked as a public high school chemistry teacher in Texas—experiences that shaped her commitment to education and service. She has practiced in Marble Falls since 2009; served as clinical faculty at UT Health San Antonio and Texas A&M; is an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, and was appointed in 2025 to the Texas Medical Board. In addition, Dr. Green was recognized as a national authority in her field with appointment to the American Board of Ophthalmology in 2025. Dr. Green is known for combining technical excellence with a thoughtful, patient-centered approach in the ambulatory surgery setting.
